Orcas Island Mt. Constitution
Driving into Moran State Park and traveling up Mt. Constitution we were anticipating the 360 view from the top of the mountain that we would be able to see. However, when we arrived at the top, we were covered in clouds and a mist, a haze that would not allow us to see the view we were anticipating.
This image below is my sister Sheri, we were walking from the parking lot on the way up to the observation tower. You can see the clouds and haze that we were walking into.
The observation tower at the top of Mt. Constitution would have been neat to see in clear skies, but the wind was freezing and the overcast day made us only want to get back to the bottom. Wow was it cold!
Some of the landscape at the top of the Mt, Constitution.
I was determined to come back with something of value prior to departing from the top of the mountain. Driving and traveling all that way I did not want to be shut out. So, haze and clouds provided the moody image that was at hand while at the top.
On the way down, we were able to stop and take in the Panorama view that we were looking for at the top. The Islands were laying before us, such a beautiful day after all!
I hope you enjoy the Moment as it was a #momentmatters day!!
Enjoy
