Texas Gulf Coast

Yesterday we went for a drive which started in the Memorial Park area.  Callie wanted to see the Beer Can House.  We had not heard about it, so off we went.  Very interesting for sure.  The story is that the couple have drank the beer and then decorated the house with the cans.  I placed a picture below for you to see.

On the way to downtown we pulled into a Bayou Nature Preserve to see what it was about.  I posted a couple of photos of the trees below.

We down on to downtown Houston to see the buildings.  I could have walked around all day, however everyone else was ready to go.  I did post one of the office buildings below.

Now it was off to the Texas Gulf Coast.

We left Houston driving south on 288 to Lake Jackson and Freeport.  The drive was nice, giving everyone a chance to see some area that Lynette and her folks had not seen before.

We ended up driving along the beach and looking at the houses.

Loren and Callie were with us as well.  We stopped in Galveston on our way back and had a late lunch.

I used the little Sony DSC-P150 again.  It is an old 7 mg pixel point and shoot.  Just trying something different again.

It was an enjoyable day and look forward to doing the drive again soon.
