California Shore Birds

I have been working on some of my images from our travels to San Diego coast in California.  While watching the waves one late afternoon, I started taking images of the shore birds with my 300mm Pentax lens.

This guy below was trying to stay out of the surf.  I can't blame him as the water was cold!
